Our route: from Berlin to Zurich,<\/div>\n

My eldest son, Kei, will spend a week attending a local school,<\/div>\n
and afterward, he\u2019ll join a Swiss ski team,<\/div>\n
training on the snowfields of the Alps.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

It\u2019s just a 1.5-hour flight from Berlin to Zurich \u2014<\/div>\n
about the same distance as Tokyo to Osaka.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

And as for me \u2014<\/div>\n
I\u2019m drawing a gentle map in my heart:<\/div>\n
perhaps I\u2019ll feel the wind of Zermatt,<\/div>\n
or sit by a quiet lake with a book and a smile.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

What makes this journey so magical<\/div>\n
is how it all began \u2014 with a single Zoom call three years ago.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

During the pandemic,<\/div>\n
I met a friend from Switzerland.<\/div>\n
Through her, I was introduced to another mother \u2014<\/div>\n
our sons were the same age,<\/div>\n
and both shared a deep love for alpine skiing.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
A chain of coincidences<\/div>\n
slowly wove itself into something meant to be.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

For three years, we\u2019ve kept in touch<\/div>\n
through Facebook and small messages across time zones \u2014<\/div>\n
and now, that invisible thread<\/div>\n
is becoming something real,<\/div>\n
